I'M DONE WITH THE FLU!
1. Stay Home
When you have a fever, you can infect others. Friends in bad times doesn't mean that everyone in the gang should get the same headache, cough, and runny nose, right? Don't go to school until the fever's gone on its own in about 48 hours.
2. Put On A Facemask
The flu virus can also spread through the air, so covering your nose and mouth with a facemask will be a good preventive measure against the illness.
3. Don't Sneeze Into Your Hands
The common way the flu virus spreads is by hand-to-hand contact. This means if you shake your friend's hand after you sneeze into yours, you increase the risk of his getting the flu too. Keep a tissue paper or handkerchief handy. Use them when sneezing to avoid the germs from spreading among the people around you. If you don't have a tissue paper or handkerchief handy, sneeze into the inside of your elbow or sleeve.
If you have the habit of shaking your teacher's hand after class dismissed, don't do it for a while. The symptoms of the flu will decrease in about two weeks. Tell you teacher about your condition, he'll understand.
4. Don't Share Personal Items
If you and the gang like to share drinks or food, it's advisable not to do it when any of you gets the flu.
5. Stay Clean
Since the virus can live on the surface of pens, keyboards or mugs, you should often wash your hands. If going to the water tap to do it is too much of an effort for you, have a bottle of alcohol gel around. Changing your clothes more often won't hurt either. That includes changing the bed sheets.
